Weight Management
We hate to admit it but many of our pets are carrying a few extra pounds. Like people, our pets can suffer ill effects from carrying too much weight including muscle and bone problems, immune system changes, abnormal effects on blood sugar, and heart complications. Severely obese pets may be at greater risk for anesthetic and surgical complications and heat or exercise intolerance. In an effort to help clients help their pets we have recently adopted a weight loss program produced by MediCal/Royal Canin called SlimFit® that is managed by Amanda, one of our Registered Veterinary Technicians.
