Microchip
A microchip is a sterile insert about the size of a grain of rice that is inserted under the skin between the shoulder blades of your pet. With a microchip implanted your pet will have a unique number that can be used to get him/her back to you if lost. As a bonus, dogs and cats that are neutered or spayed and have a microchip implanted are eligible for a City of Ottawa License at a reduced fee.
